Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will miss his side's trip to Queens Park Rangers later on Sunday after being taken ill in London, the club have announced. Rodgers, along with reserve goalkeeper Brad Jones and head of performance Glen Driscoll, were all sent home by Liverpool's medical staff after picking up a bug. "It was impossible for Brendan, Glen and Brad to attend the game," club doctor Zaf Iqbal told the Liverpool website. "They are not fit to be at the match and any contact with the rest of the squad could cause the bug to spread to more of the playing staff." In Rodgers' absence, assistant manager Colin Pascoe and coach Mike Marsh will oversee the Premier League game at Loftus Road. From : AFP
