Roberto Assis played down speculation that elimination from the continental competition would bring R10's relationship with Fla to an end, as the club mourns losing out to Emelec. The agent and brother of Flamengo star Ronaldinho has denied that the Brazil international is considering leaving the club, one day after exiting the Copa Libertadores at the group stages.Ronaldinho impressed on Thursday evening as he set up two of the Fla goals in a straightforward 3-0 defeat of Lanus in Rio de Janeiro. The result was not enough to assure qualification to the last-16, however, as a late goal from Emelec sealed a 3-2 victory for the Ecuadorians and pushed Flamengo into third place in Group 2. Reports had suggested that both Ronaldinho and the club would seek a contract termination in the event of elimination, as the former Milan and Barcelona star has been criticised for his party lifestyle and lack of form on the pitch at the start of 2012. According to Roberto Assis, however, that will not be the case."Leaving Flamengo has never entered Ronaldinho's head. We have never said that. The elimination is a shame, it was tough but now we have to think about the Carioca [State Championship] that is sometimes unappreciated, but is also very important," the star's sibling told Lance.Ronaldinho moved to Rio in January 2011, after ending his link with Milan.
