Western Conference leaders the San Jose Earthquakes twice had to come from behind to earn a 2-2 against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday. Robbie Keane opened the scoring on 58 minutes but the lead lasted just three minutes before Marvin Chavez equalised. The Galaxy went in front again on 69 minutes through Edson Buddle, but this time their advantage lasted only four minutes before Chris Wondolowski made it 2-2. The Seattle Sounders are now nine points behind San Jose after beating FC Dallas 3-1. Brad Evans opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 30 minutes and, after Blas Perez (40) equalised for Dallas, scored a second on the hour mark. Mauro Rosales made sure of the points with Seattle's third 10 minutes from time. In the day's other game, the Portland Timbers won 1-0 at Vancouver Whitecaps thanks to a goal from Jack Jewsbury late in the first half. FIFA
