Swansea City look to have successfully warded off interest in top scorer Michu after revealing on Wednesday that the Spaniard has signed a new four-year contract at the club. The 26-year-old attacker has made a stunning impact in his first season in the Premier League since arriving from Rayo Vallecano for just £2 million ($3.17 million, 2.38 million euros) in the close season, scoring 13 league goals. His displays had prompted speculation he could be set for a lucrative move away from the south Wales club, but he has now committed himself to the Liberty Stadium until 2016. "It was an easy decision for me. I am living a dream here at Swansea," he told the club website. London : AFP
