
The Algerian senior boxing team (men and women) is in East London (South Africa) since Saturday afternoon, to take part in the African Boxing Championship (June 17 to 21).
The Algerian 23- member delegation reached the South African city, in the province of Eastern Cape on the Buffalo shores (Indian Ocean) after a twenty-hour flight.
The Algerian men’s team, led by Merchoud Behous, Boualem Ouadahi and Rabah Hamadache, will participate in the fifth African Boxing Cup with eight pugilists: Mohamed Flissi (52 kg), Ziani Djoudi (60 Kg), Itim Khalil (56 Kg), Abdelkader Chadi (64 kg), Tabi Sofiane (75 kg), Kalaouar Hichem (81 kg), Chouaib Bouloudinet (91 kg) and Khimesse Mohamed (+91 kg).
The women’s team led by the duo Khamed Harima and Slimane Bennour, will be represented by five boxers: Souhila Bouchene (48kg), Boualem Roumaissa, Hallou Nawal (57kg), Triki Houria (60kg) and Ait Chait Dehbia (75kg).
