
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has sent a congratulatory cable to the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa marking the Bahrain senior men's national volleyball team's winning of the ninth GCC Volleyball Championship, concluded in Doha last night. HM the King congratulated Shaikh Nasser and the sport community in the kingdom on such an honourable achievement, attained thanks to the players, as well as the team's administrative and technical staff. HM King Hamad pointed out that the win adds to the landmark accomplishments attained by Bahraini youths at the GCC, Arab and international levels, wishing Bahrain athletes further success. HM the King sent a similar cable to the President of the Bahrain Volleyball Association Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. HM King Hamad praised the outstanding performance of the players and their dedication in order to honour their country, and commended the efforts of the technical and administrative staff, wishing the volleyball team further success.
