Under the theme “ Sport and Integrity”, the handball competitions for primary schools (second level) at the seventh Schools Olympic Program 2013-2014 were kicked off  at Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyiah indoor of Qatar SC on Monday. With a highly  spirit and motivation,  the primary stage students showed a widely-praised performance in the opening round of handball competitions. In Monday’s handball fixtures, Iranian school outclassed Newton International 10-0, Andalus private school defeated Bahvan Public 3-1, Hateen model school thrashed Al Furqan 3-1,  Al Falah Private defeated Al Shahania 10-0, Joaan bin Jassim outclassed Bilal bin Rabah 7-0 and Khalifa model school thrashed Malek bin Anas 7-0. According to the SOP schedule , the handball competitions (first level) for primary schools will be resumed on Tuesday. In another SOP sport scene, the volleyball competitions for secondary schools (boys) were kicked off on Monday amid the participation of five schools including, Middle East, Al Furqan, Tareq bin Ziad, Al Shahania and Jassim bin Mohammed. Tareq bin Ziad recorded double victory against Al Shahania 2-0 and Middle East 2-0 , as  Jassim bin Mohammed thrashed Egypt languages 2-0. Both winners, Tareq  bin Ziad and Jassim bin Mohammed cruised their way to the second round. In another SOP sport scene, the volleyball competitions for preparatory schools (boys)  at  the seventh Schools Olympic Program under theme “ Sport and Integrity”  have  officially kicked off at  the Qatar Volleyball Association  Indoor  and Al Arabi SC  indoor  on Monday. In Monday’s Volleyball events around six schools, including Ali bin Abi Taleb, Umm Saeed, Hikmah International,  Cairo Private, Omar bin Khattab and Religious Institute competed in the events. Ali bin Abi Taleb school  recorded two victories , the first  over Umm Saeed 2-0 and the second over Hikmah International 2-0, likewise, Omar bin Khattab school defeated Religious Institute 2-0. Based on the above results, Omar bin Khattab and Ail bin Abi Tablib schools booked their places  in the last eight stage of the volleyball competitions. In SOP volleyball competition for preparatory schools schedule for Tuesday, Dukhan will lock horns against Al Shahania, Khalid Ahmed will shake hands with Al Furqan, while Al Andalus will play Doha in the third playoff.
