
Qatar's national team are getting ready for the friendly against New Zealand on Monday, the last warm-up game before the Asian Cup kicks off on Jan. 9. The squad trained Thursday in the Australian capital of Canberra where the team is currently holding a training camp. Head coach Djamel Belmadi will use the game in putting his final touches to the squad as he picks his line-up for the Maroon's opening game against UAE on Jan. 11.
The Qatari team took on Oman in a first friendly in Australia with the game ending in a 2-2 draw. The Maroon were drawn alongside Iran, UAE and Bahrain in Group C.
