Tunisia will host, next October 11-13 on the Tunis Lake, the 9th Arab Rowing Championship for the senior and junior men's and women's categories. “Preparations are underway to guarantee success of this championship with the confirmed participation of 12 Arab countries so far, namely Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Somalia in addition to Tunisia, the host country," specified to TAP technical director of the Tunisian Rowing Federation Faycal Soula. He added that Jordan and Syria did not confirm their participation. The Arab championship will be followed by the Tunis 6th International Tournament, to be held on October 14. A news conference will be held on October 10 to shed light on these two events.
