
Afghanistan were all out for 186 in the 47th over batting first against New Zealand in their Pool A World Cup match in Napier on Sunday.
For New Zealand, Daniel Vettori took four for 18 to become only the 12th player to take more than 300 ODI wickets.
Najibullah Zadran top scored for Afghanistan with 56 while Samiullah Shenwari made 54, with the competition debutants having been in the fire position of 59 for six earlier in their innings.
Unbeaten Pool leaders have won all four of their previous group games at this tournament and have already qualified for the quarter-finals.
