Africa Cup of Nations organisers CAF on Friday dismissed reports of a deal with Morocco to postpone the 2015 continental showcase due to the Ebola epidemic.
Morocco this month requested delaying the January 17 to February 8 Nations Cup as they fear a spread of the deadly virus.
Moroccan daily As-Sabah, citing "an authorised source", claimed in its Friday edition that "a deal in principle" had been reached to delay the competition at a meeting with CAF president Issa Hayatou on Wednesday.
According to As-Sabah, Hayatou "showed himself open to accepting Morocco's request" to defer the Nations Cup until June, or even January 2016.
But the article was rejected as "completely untrue" by a Confederation of African Football spokesman.
And a Moroccan source close to the negotiations told AFP that no official decision would be made before Sunday's CAF executive committee meeting in Algiers.
