New Orleans forward Anthony Davis was cleared to return to the lineup after being out for about a month due to a left ankle injury, the NBA team said Tuesday. The Hornets made Davis, 19, the No. 1 overall pick in last summer's NBA draft but he missed 11 games since suffering a stress reaction in his left ankle. New Orleans has won just two of those 11 games. Davis averaged 16 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks over the first six games this season. The Hornets were 3-3 with him in the lineup. "It was tough because you want to be on the floor," Davis said Tuesday. "Sitting out 11 games is tough but it's good to be back."
