Wade Miley gave up four hits Wednesday and combined with J.J. Putz to bring Arizona a 3-0 blanking of Miami and a sweep of a day-night double header. The Diamondbacks won the opener 3-2. Miley (14-8) worked eight innings, striking out five and walking one. Putz needed just eight pitches in the ninth inning to record his 25th save. Paul Goldschmidt singled in Arizona's first run in the opening inning and an infield base hit in the fourth by Chris Johnson delivered another. Goldschmidt scored later in the fourth on a passed ball. Wade LeBlanc (2-3) went seven innings while taking the loss. He allowed all three runs on five hits. A win for the Diamondbacks in their next game, Friday against San Diego, would allow them to move four games above .500 and equal their high-water mark for the season.
