Chad Billingsley had his second strong start to begin the season Wednesday in bringing the Los Angeles Dodgers a 4-1 win over Pittsburgh. Billingsley (2-0) allowed a run on five hits over six innings with four strikeouts before turning things over to the bull pen. Los Angeles won for the fifth time in six outings and has the best record in the National League. In his first start of the year, Billingsley went 8 1/3 scoreless innings with three hits and 11 strikeouts against San Diego. Three relievers combined to allow a lone hit against the Pirates and Javy Guerra picked up his fourth save. Los Angeles came up with four RBI singles -- from Juan Rivera in the third, Andre Ethier in the sixth and both Rivera and Tony Gwynn in the seventh. The only run given up by Billingsley came on a Clint Barmes homer in the third. Erik Bedard (0-2) allowed two runs on eight hits in five innings to take the loss.
