Buster Posey drove in five runs to provide support for Barry Zito's seven shutout innings Tuesday in the San Francisco Giants' 9-0 rout of Atlanta. Posey delivered run-scoring hits in the first and third innings and capped a six-run Giants uprising in the fourth with a bases-clearing double. Melky Cabrera added two hits, including an RBI single, as the National League West-leading Giants romped to their fourth straight win. Zito (8-6) racked up his third victory in four starts, baffling the Braves on three hits while walking one and striking out four. Jair Jurrjens (3-3) was rocked for eight runs on eight hits in 3 1/3 innings for the Braves, who had a seven-game winning streak snapped.
