Brett Lawrie and Edwin Encarnacion both had two RBI Thursday and Yunel Escobar scored three times in carrying the Toronto Blue Jays past Minnesota 6-2. Escobar went 4-for-4 in helping the Blue Jays to their second straight win. Minnesota has lost five out of six and remained stuck on just eight victories for the season -- three fewer than any other team. Lawrie singled home Escobar with the second of Toronto's two first-inning runs. A fielder's choice from Encarnacion drove in Escobar in the third and Encarnacion then scored on a base hit by Lawrie. Encarnacion's second RBI came on an infield single in the fourth that also delivered Escobar. Henderson Alvarez (3-2) earned the win by giving up two runs on seven hits over seven innings. Jason Marquis (2-2) surrendered all the Minnesota runs in four frames.
