George Hill scored 19 points, including a driving layup with 1/10th of a second remaining Tuesday to give Indiana a 79-77 road win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Hill drove to the basket through Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol to break a 77-77 tie the Lakers had forged when Kobe Bryant hit a 3-point bucket with 24.5 seconds left. David West contributed 16 points to the Pacers offense and Paul George scored 12. Bryant led the Lakers with 40 points. Howard scored 17 and tallied seven rebounds. Gasol was the only other Los Angeles player in double figures with 10 points.Both squads were hampered by tepid shooting. Los Angeles shot 32 percent from the field and was 23-of-43 from the free-throw line. The Pacers shot 63 percent from the free-throw line but 37 percent from the field, including 4-of-19 from 3-point range.
