Brive full-back Julien Caminati has been suspended by the French rugby federation after failing a drugs test, his Top 14 club announced on Monday. Caminati, 26, tested positive for cannabis, according to sources close to the affair. Brive said they had received notification from the federation earlier on Monday of the "immediate suspension of Julien Caminati". "That follows a random anti-doping test carried out on February 18, with the report of the analysis carried out by the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) flagging up an abnormal result." The club added that they "totally support this decision", warning that "if the player is found guilty after disciplinary hearings, they reserve the right to decide what action to take".
