Derrick Marks poured in 35 points Wednesday in pacing Boise State to an 83-70 victory over previously unbeaten and No. 11 Creighton. The Bluejays had been trying to open their season with seven straight wins for the second year in a row, but ran into a sizzling Boise State team that shot 60 percent from the field. Marks made 13-of-19 from the field and the Broncos held off a late charge that saw the Bluejays climb within five with 2:30 to play. Anthony Drmic added 17 points and Jeff Elorriaga had 12 for Boise State (5-1). The Broncos' lone loss thus far came against Michigan State. Creighton (6-1) was led by 21 points from Doug McDermott and 17 from Grant Gibbs.
