North Carolina's Leslie McDonald netted five 3-pointers en route to 24 points Saturday and the No. 13 Tar Heels whipped Alabama-Birmingham 102-84. McDonald made the most of his first career start, going 7-for-11 from the field and dishing off five assists for the Tar Heels (6-2), who shot 71.9 percent in a 67-point second half. Reggie Bullock added 17 points, six rebounds and five assists, P.J. Hairston supplied 16 points off the bench, and James Michael McAdoo provided 15 points and 12 rebounds for North Carolina. Jordan Swing led the Blazers (4-4) with 21 points.
