Carl Hall provided 17 points and 13 rebounds Saturday, sparking Wichita State to a 67-64 upending of 10th-ranked Creighton. Malcolm Armstead (15 points, six rebounds, five assists) and Cleanthony Early (13 points) also turned in big games for the Shockers (17-2, 6-1 MVC). Armstead's free throws with 16 seconds left wrapped up the 18th straight home victory for Wichita State. Demetric Williams helped out with 10 points for the winners. The Bluejays (17-2, 6-1), meanwhile, had their 11-game winning streak snapped despite a stellar performance from Doug McDermott, who put in 25 points.
