Kenny Cooper netted a pair of goals Saturday, providing all the offense in Red Bull New York's 2-0 whitewash of Philadelphia. Cooper, who came into the contest with 11 goals but hadn't scored in seven games, broke the drought in the 43rd minute after collecting a cross from Connor Lade and putting a header inside the right post. He doubled the advantage in the second half on a very similar scoring play, with the cross this time coming from Thierry Henry. New York (11-5-5) grabbed first place in the Eastern Conference with the win, its seventh in 10 home matches. Philadelphia (6-10-2), meanwhile, saw its three-game winning streak snapped.
