French rugby giants Clermont lost their second key player in as many days on Sunday as French international fullback Jean-Marcellin Buttin signed for rivals Bordeaux-Begles, the buying side's president Laurent Marti announced.
The 23-year-old back -- capped twice and who has also played for France in their sevens team -- will join Bordeaux next season having signed a two year contract.
Buttin, who has been at Clermont since 2009, joins Fijian tryscoring wing Napolioni Nalaga in leaving Clermont -- it was revealed on Saturday that Nalaga agreed to join defending French champions Toulon next term.
Buttin is the fourth signing by Bordeaux, who are coached by former France captain and hooker Rapahel Ibanez.
New Zealand backrow forward Luke Braid, No8 Loann Goujon, from La Rochelle, and experienced Australian back Adam Ashley-Cooper, who has won over 100 caps for his country, will all don Bordeaux colours next season.
