Belarusian Olga Govortsova opened the Hobart International tennis event with an upset Sunday, dispatching fifth-seeded Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain. Govortsova fought off three break-point tries by Navarro to emerge with a 6-2, 6-1 win at the Hobart International Tennis Center.
