Shane Doan's goal iced a 5-3 win for Phoenix Sunday and handed the Coyotes a 2-0 lead over Nashville in their Western Conference semifinal series. With the Coyotes clinging to a 4-3 lead 3 1/2 minutes into the third period, Doan deflected a shot by Derek Morris past Predators goalie Pekka Rinne to give Phoenix some breathing room. Doan, Antoine Vermette and Radim Vrbata each finished with a goal and an assist for the Coyotes, who have logged the first two second-round playoff wins in franchise history. Mike Smith turned aside 29-of-32 shots to earn the victory. Martin Hanzal and Taylor Pyatt also scored for the Coyotes. Ryan Suter registered a goal and an assist, while Andrei Kostitsyn and Patric Hornqvist scored for the Predators, who will seek their first win when the series shifts to Nashville Wednesday for Game 3. Rinne finished with 34 saves.
