US PGA champion Keegan Bradley has become the third major winner to put his name forward for competition in the upcoming Irish Open. The 25-year-old two-time PGA Tour winner will join US Open champion Rory McIllroy and Open victor Darren Clarke at the Royal Portrush tournament. Italian brothers Edoardo and Francesco Molinari will also participate in the event, which begins on June 28, meaning that half of the victorious 2010 European Ryder Cup team will compete. "I'm proud of my Irish heritage and I've wanted to represent it in the Irish national championship," said Bradley, who has revealed that he spoke to Graeme McDowell and Open winner Clarke about the prospect of competing. "Graeme and Darren have both told me what a fabulous layout Portrush is, so I'm doubly excited about the opportunity to compete there." The current Irish Open Champion is Englishman Simon Dyson, while Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington and Colin Montgomerie are all also former winners.
