Two-time Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones and US pilot Jazmine Fenlator finished second to reigning world champion Kaillie Humphries in Friday's World Cup women's bobsleigh season opener. Canada's Humphries and brakewoman Chelsea Valois won the two-run competition at Mount Van Hoevenburg in Lake Placid in 1 min 54.86secs with Fenlator and Jones second, .47 of a second behind. Jones struck the penultimate hurdle at the 2008 Beijing Olympics 100-metres hurdles final and finished seventh and settled for fourth place in the same event last August at the London Olympics. While she is aiming to hurdle at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, Jones could end up at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia after trying the sport for the first time last month, having been recruited by US coach Todd Hays. Another American duo with a track star, Elana Meyers and Tianna Madison, finished third, only .01 of a second behind their compatriots. Madison ran on the US world record women's 4x100 relay at London.
