Omar Infante hit two home runs and Gaby Sanchez knocked in two other runs Monday in a 6-2 Miami Marlins win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Marlins scored in six innings with the leadoff batter reaching each time. Infante hit home runs opening the fifth and seventh innings while Sanchez collected runs batted in in the fourth and sixth innings. Miami starter Anibal Sanchez (1-0) allowed six hits -- five singles -- over 6 1/3 innings. Both of the Phillies' runs came in the seventh off a double by Freddy Galvis. By Miami was already up 5-0 and had chased Philadelphia starter Cole Hamels (0-1). Hamels struck out nine but was touched for eight hits and four runs (three earned) in 5 1/3 innings. Jose Reyes and Emilio Bonifacio opened the game with singles off Hamels and Reyes scored on a Hanley Ramirez grounder. Ramirez opened the fourth with a double and made the score 2-0 on a single by Gaby Sanchez. Infante hit his first home run in the fifth with a shot into the left-field stands and Gaby Sanchez had a sixth-inning RBI double that made the score 4-0. Infante's second home run of the game and third of the season was a drive just into the seats not far off the left-field line. Austin Kearns finished the scoring with a home run in the ninth. It was his first of the season.
