Muhal led a 1-2 finish for Omani trainer Salim Al Hakmani in the H.H. Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship (IFAHR) race staged at the Newbury race course in the UK on Saturday. Muhal, ridden by Veronika Aske, finished ahead of Andaleep under Jane Foley to leave the Omani trainer celebrating in the richest race for lady jockeys in the UK. The race, held soon after Frankel won his 10th straight race in front of a packed Newbury course, was organised by the Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival. Muhal won in 1:55.52 with Silaah, partnered by Manuela Slamanig, finished four and a half lengths back in third place.Perfect ride "The Norwegian lady jockey gave Muhal a perfect ride," said the Omani trainer. "I had expected Muhal to win and Andaleep to run a big race and they have both lived up to the challenge," Al Hakmani added.
