Second-seeded Rafael Nadal topped David Ferrer in the first of Saturday's semifinals matches at the Italian Open. Nadal eliminated the sixth-seeded Ferrer 7-6 (8-6), 6-0 and will face either Roger Federer or world No. 1 Novak Djokovic Sunday for the championship of the French Open tuneup. Nadal, who has won five of the last seven Italian Opens, dominated the second match by winning 72 percent of total service points to 37 percent for Ferrer.
