Cam Newton tossed a touchdown pass and ran for another Sunday, leading the Carolina Panthers to a 17-6 victory over Oakland. Newton picked up 170 yards through the air, including a TD pass to Steve Smith, who finished with four catches and 45 yards as the Panthers (6-9) racked up their third straight win. Greg Olsen helped out with six grabs for 53 yards and and linebacker Luke Kuechly recorded nine tackles with an interception in the win. Oakland's Carson Palmer left with a first-quarter injury and Matt Leinart took over, going 16-of-32 for 115 yards and an interception for the Raiders (4-11). It was the seventh loss in eight games for Oakland.
