
Spanish pole sitter Alex Rins held off a fierce late challenge from Johann Zarco to win the Indianapolis Moto2 Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday.
Rins pulled ahead of Switzerland's Dominique Aergerter with less than two laps remaining and rode his Kalex to the finish in 41min, 18.866sec in the 25-lap, 104.25km race.
Zarco of France and Italy's Franco Morbidelli passed Aegerter to finish second and third. Rins's victory over Zarco was just 0.482 of a second.
Aegerter settled for fourth place with Spain's Tito Rabat coming in fifth.
