The 26-year-old attacker has committed his future to the club after being linked with a new challenge during the summer transfer windowSevilla have announced that Alvaro Negredo has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2016.The Spain international has added two years to his previous contract, with his buy-out clause now set at €50 million.Negredo, 26, joined Sevilla from Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 and has been a key player in the club's attack ever since, scoring 37 goals in all competitions in his first two seasons at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan."I told president Jose Maria del Nido I did not want to leave, that I really liked being at Sevilla," Negredo told A Balon Parado."I am lucky and happy to be at the club, who took me in and gave me this opportunity."I have never made a decision which was better than this one. I did not need to be convinced. I am very happy and satisfied."According to Spanish sources, the two parties opened negotiations about a new contract after Real Madrid decided against exercising their buy-back option for the striker, who cost Sevilla €14m.
