
Egypt and Slovenia enjoy historical and cultural ties, said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor, President Sisi pointed out to role of famous Slovenian architect Antonio Lasciac in contributing to the construction of important Egyptian facilities including the Abdeen Palace and Banque Misr.
President Sisi also hailed organizing several proceedings on the sidelines of the Slovenian president's visit to Egypt.
He said that the proceedings include holding the Egyptian-Slovenian business forum on Tuesday along with promoting cultural exchange between the two countries through organizing several cultural events to mark the 26th anniversary of the referendum on Slovenia's independence.
