Universidad Santo Tomás de Santiago, a CIES partner since 2006, awarded diplomas to 26 students - a record number in Chile - during a graduation ceremony organised at the Instituto de las Ciencias del Deporte (CEO). Rodrigo Grimalt, Director of the CEO and of the FIFA/CIES Programme in Chile, welcomed the positive developments of the project by emphasising the excellent level and diverse profiles of the students, as well as the quality of the final group work: “Sport is not only practised by athletes and coaches. To develop, it relies on significant knowledge and skills, including those of managers. That is why the UST/FIFA/CIES Programme, organised in cooperation with INAF, contributes to enriching the world of sport in Chile”. Emphasising the new dynamics of the relationship between UST and CIES, Alejandro Mesa, Commercial Director at UST, rejoiced in a partnership based on trust and respect, which are the best tools to build a long-term relationship. CIES thanks all the people involved in organising the FIFA/CIES Programme in Chile and warmly congratulates the graduates of the fifth edition: Pedro Enrique, Fernando Enrique, Pedro Andrés, Ronald Gonzalo, Mario Armando, Reinaldo Jesús, Julio Cesar, Diego Andrés, Carlos Gustavo, Jorge André, Felipe Omar, Manuel Enrique, Enzo Carlos, Patricio Alejandro, Juan Sebastián, Cristián Fabián, Javier Nicolás, Mauricio Esteban, Gladian Carolina, Aquiles, Christian Alfredo, Cesar Alberto, Manuel, David Alejandro, Adolfo Andrés and Giancarlo.
