The Serie A champions are in the market for attacking reinforcements because of the lengthy absence of Antonio Cassano, who is currently recovering from heart surgery, and they see Borriello as a good replacement. The 29-year-old is a product of the Milan youth academy, but never really managed to secure regular first team action at San Siro. He left the Rossoneri for Roma in the summer of 2010, but could now be on his way back.
