Atletico Mineiro regained top spot in the Brazilian Campeonato standings on Thursday night with a 1-0 home victory over Coritiba. Having slipped to second on Wednesday following Vasco da Gama's 2-0 triumph at Sport Recife, Atletico climbed back to the summit thanks to Rever's 48th-minute winner. Coritiba substitute Rafinha was sent off two minutes from time as the visitors' frustrations boiled over. The triumph moved Cuca's side a point ahead of Vasco, and they still have one game in hand. Also on Thursday night, third-placed Fluminense remained within three points of Atletico thanks to a 2-1 home success against sixth-spotted Sao Paulo. Euzebio put the hosts ahead in the 36th minute and, although Cicero equalised on the stroke of half-time, Fred's strike six minutes after the interval ensured the points remained in Rio de Janeiro. Finally, fourth-placed Gremio were held to a goalless draw at Ponte Preta. From : Fifa
