Hoffenheim have set their sights on a place in Europe next season following the arrival of striker Joselu from Real Madrid. The Spaniard is the fourth big-name signing this summer, after the club also brought in Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese, Swiss striker Eren Derdiyok and former Stuttgart captain Matthieu Delpierre. Hoffenheim, who reached the Bundesliga after back-to-back promotions in 2008, are now setting their sights on their first ever appearance on the European stage. "We are all looking forward to the new season and we want to play good and successful football above all," coach Markus Babbel said. "We want to get into Europe. I have experienced for myself what it is like to play for clubs who are capable of winning things, and I know how important it is to reach your goals in the end. Whether that be with Bayern or Liverpool, it was always extremely hard work and I want to convince my lads that it is worth it." Joselu dreaming of Germany national team call-upThe 22-year-old Joselu, who was born in Stuttgart, has signed a four-year contract and is determined to make his mark in Germany. "I chose Germany for a reason," he said on Hoffenheim's official website. "I want to make the breakthrough here. "My wish is to obtain German citizenship and maybe even play for the Germany national team in the end. But that is the second step. The first is to settle in here and help the team." FIFA
