Bayern Munich suffered another midfield blow on Monday as Ukraine star Anatoliy Tymoshchuk was banned for three matches, ruling him out of the showdown with champions Borussia Dortmund on November 19. The 32-year-old was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle in added time at the end of Sunday's 2-1 win at Augsburg, which left the Bavarian giants five points clear of second-placed Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga. Tymoshchuk's ban by the German Football Federation (DFB) comes with star midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger already out for six weeks after breaking his collarbone last Wednesday in the 3-2 Champions League win over Napoli. As well as the Dortmund game, the Ukrainian will miss the trip to Mainz on November 27 and the home match against Werder Bremen on December 3. Tymoshchuk had been named in the Ukraine squad for Friday's friendly against Germany in Kiev and against Austria in Lviv on November 15.
