BDF Chief-of-Staff, Major-General Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, emphasized today that the BDF pays much attention to military sports activities in compliance with directives of the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshall Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, in recognition of the significant role of sports in boosting morale and consolidating bonds. The BDF Chief-of-Staff made a statement marking the occasion of organizing International Military Championship in the Kingdom of Bahrain, asserting that the BDF has provided continuously encouraging healthy atmospheres to practice various sports as part of military training and duties in order to maintain physical fitness, efficiency and integration of BDF personnel. Major-General Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa praised constant directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Chairman of the CISM's Supreme Organizing Committee regarding good preparations, the taking of appropriate actions to ensure the success of the World Military Championship hosted by Kingdom of Bahrain for the first time. The media committee presided over by Mr. Tawfig Al-Salehi, will convene its first meeting for Arab and overseas journalists and cameramen in order to coordinate coverage and provide them with the necessary facilitation. World-class media teams who had covered international sports events have registered their attendance to the event.
