A second-half brace from Christian Benitez put Club America in total control of their Apertura quarter-final tie against Morelia as they won the first leg 2-0 away from home on Wednesday. Benitez struck in the 57th and 76th minutes, and things got worse for the hosts when Mauricio Romero was sent off nine minutes from time. Cruz Azul have a somewhat narrower 2-1 advantage after playing the home leg of their tie with Leon. Gerardo Flores put them ahead after 16 minutes, and although Nelson Maz equalised 10 minutes into the second half, Leon were level for only three minutes before Mariano Pavone got Cruz Azul's second. Club America and Morelia play the second leg of their tie on Saturday, with Cruz Azul travelling to Leon on Sunday. From Fifa
