Brazil’s forward Neymar admitted he knew little about Egypt as both sides prepare for their London Games meeting later this month. Favourites Brazil and Egypt, who are making their first Olympic appearance since 1992, will meet in the opening game of the football competition at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 26 July. “I don't know much about them because I have never played against them, but some of my team-mates have, and they say Egypt have lots of quality,” Santos prodigy Neymar, who snubbed the overtures of Chelsea and Manchester City to stay in Brazil, was quoted as saying by English paper The Telegraph. “But our coach Mano Menezes will give us all the information we need about it and I am sure we will have a good match. Winning this tournament would show that we are on the right track for winning the 2014 World Cup [which is in Brazil].” The Olympic gold medal is the only triumph that eluded Brazil, the record World Cup winners with five titles under their belt. The senior sides of Egypt and Brazil last met in a friendly game last year, with the Selecao claiming an easy 2-0 win in Qatari capital Doha. ahramonline .
