Club Brugge have appointed Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido to replace Georges Leekens, who was sacked as coach on 4 November. Garrido, 43, led provincial outfit Villarreal to a creditable fourth place in La Liga in 2011 and also steered them to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League, before being dismissd last December after a poor start to the following campaign. "Brugge is an important career chance for me - I can win titles with this club," said Garrido. "We have everything: good players, good staff and good supporters." The club currently stand just eighth in the Belgian table with 22 points from 15 matches.
