Greuther Furth coach Mike Buskens has vowed to continue playing attractive, attacking football in the Bundesliga next season following promotion to the top flight. Furth's biggest strength in winning the second division last term was their goalscoring exploits, with 73 in 34 matches, but they have lost their top goalscorer Olivier Occean to Eintracht Frankfurt this summer. Nevertheless, the focus will remain on attacking, insists former Schalke coach Buskens. "Our philosophy is always to play with two attackers and we have good experience of that," he said. "Even when in 2010, when most of the teams at the World Cup were playing with only one striker, for example, we ignored that trend. "We have strikers who can not only score goals, but can also work well against the ball when we are not in possession. Why, then, should we do without one or even both of them?" Buskens' propensity for a classic 4-4-2 formation will therefore remain against stronger opposition in the Bavarian club's first ever season in the top flight of German football, and his choice of players will remain largely unaltered too. "I am convinced that all of my players can overcome this hurdle of the Bundesliga," he told the Nurnberger Nachrichten newspaper. "We have got to expect that, on the one hand, our opponents will have more quality and that very few of them are just going to defend against us, but at the same time, that gives us more room to show the fast-moving game that has distinguished us in the past."
