David Beckham's hopes of forcing his way into England's squad for the Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine have been all but quashed by manager Fabio Capello. Beckham, who has been in outstanding form for his US club side LA Galaxy after guiding them to the MLS Cup Final this season, has never given up hope of adding to the 115 caps he has won so far for his country. But having been ignored by Capello since last year's World Cup it seems even his recent form is unlikely to earn him a recall, although the Italian said he expected the former Manchester United midfielder to be a member of the separate Great Britain squad at next year's London Olympic Games. When asked here on Monday if Beckham had any chance of making England's Euro 2012 squad Capello said: "No. I think he will only be involved in the Olympic Games. But I have time to decide." The England manager was speaking ahead of Tuesday's friendly against Sweden at Wembley and when pressed as to whether Beckham was in his plans now he replied simply: "No."
