Club America battled back from a 2-0 half-time deficit to salvage a draw from their trip to Atlante in the third round of the Mexican Apertura season on Sunday. Hosts Atlante looked on course for their first victory thanks to first-half goals from Esteban Paredes (14) and Osvaldo Martinez (40). However, Club America recovered after the break to claim a 2-2 draw and maintain their unbeaten start, with Rubens Sambueza halving the deficit in the 48th minute before Christian Benitez levelled things up in the 66th minute.
