Colts quarterback Andrew Luck threw three of his four touchdown passes in the third quarter as Indianapolis humbled the New York Giants 40-24 in an NFL game.
It was a welcome turnaround for the Colts, who struggled last week after cornerback Vontae Davis departed their game against Pittsburgh, surrendering 522 yards and six touchdowns in a 51-34 loss to the Steelers.
Davis was back in action on Monday, shoring up a Colts defense that effectively stifled a Giants offense led by quarterback Eli Manning.
Manning finished 27-of-52 with most of his 359 yards coming with the game already out of reach in the fourth quarter.
Luck, meanwhile, added to his league-leading passing yardage total with 354 yards, taking his tally for the season to 3,085.
"To get a win is always good, especially on the road on Monday night against a very good Giants team," Luck said. "It wasn't pretty by any means. There are definitely things we can shore up, but it was a good fight by the guys and a big victory."
T.Y. Hilton caught three passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Reggie Wayne had four receptions for 70 yards and a score and Dwayne Allen had four catches for 48 yards and a TD in the victory.
