Edwin van der Sar's loyalties are understandably divided ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash between Ajax and Manchester United. The now-retired goalkeeper played and enjoyed huge success at both clubs and was at the Amsterdam ArenA on Wednesday night to watch his old United team-mates train. "It's good to see the boys," he told MUTV in an exclusive pitchside interview. "It's always nice to see some familiar faces. I had a great time in Manchester for six years, so it's not something you can forget lightly." But Edwin's ties to Ajax are even stronger. He made his professional debut with the Dutch giants and spent nine years at the club, winning four league titles, three Dutch cups, the European Cup, the UEFA Cup, the Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. There are personal connections, too. "I know the Ajax manager, Frank de Boer, very well," he revealed. "He's been a good friend of mine for the last 20 years. So I hope he gets the result he wants.
