Brazilian Formula One veteran Rubens Barrichello is jumping to IndyCar racing, and will team up with compatriot Tony Kanaan at KV Racing Technology, according to the team. Barrichello, 39, raced in Formula One from 1993-2011, driving last season for Williams. His resume includes 11 F1 victories and he was runner-up in the Formula One championship in 2002 and 2004. Barrichello said he was excited at the prospect of taking up the US open-wheel series. "I am thrilled, it is something very new to me," said Barrichello, who tested the new Dallara car powered by Chevrolet at Sebring International Raceway and Infineon Raceway in the past month. "I need to thank everyone involved, especially Tony because he has been involved for a long time... With all my experience I will start as a rookie, but I think I will get better as the year progresses." KV Racing Technology confirmed Thursday that Kanaan, the 2004 IndyCar champion, has inked a two-year deal.
