Catalan Dragons' France international prop Jamal Fakir has been demoted to the reserves after an emergency meeting called on Tuesday to address the club's poor start to the Super League season. "Following a defeat at Wakefield, the fourth consecutive since the start of the season, the club took the decision to call the leading players into a meeting," the club said in a statement. After the meeting it was decided that Fakir, 31, would be sidelined from the professional group and play for the reserves. Australian fullback Brent Webb will also undergo further medical tests to discover why he has failed to find his form following back surgery last season. "(Webb) is far from having rediscovered his top form," the club said. The 34-year-old Webb will undergo several days of tests to evaluate the remainder of his season. The Dragons are 12th in the 14-team Super League table having failed to win a match in four games so far this season. Source: AFP
